THE DRUMMER BOY

SCHOOLS’ TOUR

INK’s powerful theatre production tackling teenage mental health and suicide prevention

Developed in partnership with Suffolk County Council Public Health and the Suffolk Safeguarding Partnership, the production uses live theatre to open up vital conversations around mental health, helping young people recognise when they or someone they know may need support.

Following successful tours of secondary schools and colleges across Suffolk, The Drummer Boy will continue its impact by touring schools across Norfolk in autumn 2026, reaching even more young people with this important message.

The response from schools has been overwhelmingly positive, with teachers praising the production's sensitive and engaging approach:

"Powerful, thoughtful and perfectly pitched. Students were engaged and difficult material was delivered with respect and sensitivity - could not recommend highly enough."
