community engagement
making theatre accessible
to everyone
INK works with communities across the East of England to ensure theatre is something people can experience, participate in and help shape. Through partnerships, outreach and participatory projects, we create opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to connect through creativity helping to address loneliness in rural areas, improve mental health and social cohesion.
Halesworth Town and Our Region
Halesworth is at the heart of everything we do. As INK has grown, so has our commitment to the town and the wider East Anglian community.
Throughout the year, INK is based at The Cut Arts Centre and during our annual festival we transform Halesworth into a vibrant theatre town, creating performance spaces in local businesses and unexpected venues, including the Angel Hotel, the Scout Hut, Angel Bowls Club, the Rifle Hall and St Mary's Food Bank.
Beyond the town, we work in partnership with local schools, universities, health, social care, environmental and heritage organisations, creating projects that bring people together, celebrate local stories and make theatre accessible to all.
